Shigeru Miyamoto (Kyoto – Japan, 1952) is probably the most recognized and celebrated game designer on the planet. His work has been playing a crucial role in the shaping of the games industry since the early 80’s. He is considered the father of modern video games, and has been the major driving force behind Nintendo’s hardware and software development throughout the years. His influence upon the lives of the millions of people who have the privilege of playing his games is beyond measure; his insights, his venerable humbleness, and the love with which he develops his pieces, have been the major inspiration of a whole generation, of which we are but 4 representatives.
